How To Verify Google AdSense PIN In Uganda (2023)

Google AdSense is a monetization program by Google that enables content creators with websites and YouTube channels to monetize their sites by showing ads.

Are you a website or YouTube Channel owner in Uganda who monetized with Google AdSense? If so, you may wonder what it takes to get the AdSense PIN verification to start receiving your payments.

You need to have a valid mailing address so that Google can send you a PIN. The problem is, some people find difficulty on how to fill in the right address and how to get their PINs delivered to them more so here in Uganda since we do not have uniform address systems.

I recently received my AdSense PIN through Post Office without hassle, and I want to show you exactly how you can do the same.

In this blog post, I will take you through the steps you need to take to get your AdSense PIN with or without a personal mailing box to start getting paid. Let’s dive right in!

Firstly, there are two forms of verification required for your AdSense account. You need to ensure that both have been fulfilled.

• Identity Verification
• Address Verification

Identity Verification

First, is Identity verification which helps Google verify your personal details. To confirm you are who you say you are identity documents such as a National ID, Passport, or Driving permit. Once you upload a picture of one of these documents, you should be approved within 48 hours. If you are done with this form of verification, then proceed to the next form of verification.

Address Verification 

This type of verification helps Google verify your location and ascertain your address. You must provide your mailing or P.O. Box address to receive the PIN. Different from other countries, you might not have the option of receiving your AdSense PIN on your doorstep in Uganda. You must opt for the Post Office service nearest to you.

Your Adsense account must have been active and at least reached the payment threshold of $10 to get your PIN sent. After fulfilling the above conditions, you can then be eligible to receive a verification PIN from Google AdSense in Uganda. 

How To Easily Get Your Google AdSense PIN for Verification In Uganda 

1. Normally, If your PIN mailer has been sent, it will typically arrive within 2-4 weeks. You can track the status of your PIN mailer in your AdSense account. 

But in case you don’t receive the first PIN;

2. In your AdSense account, go to Verification Check and select Address Verification. Click on this to access your PIN mailer status. Click request a new PIN sent to your address if you did not receive the first PIN. 

Note: I recommend waiting up to 4 weeks until you can request a new PIN. It is always the same PIN always sent any time that you request one.

Suppose you are a Ugandan and don’t have a personal mailing box (P.O. Box). In that case, you can opt to register for one by paying for a physical P.O. Box which costs 70,000 UGX per year, and for a virtual P.O. Box, 20,000 UGX per year. This will help you easily get your AdSense PIN mailed to you. If you have a P.O. Box, you can skip step 3.

3. Use the Private Bag Option at the Post Office (If you don’t have a P.O.Box)

The good news is that if you don’t have a P.O. Box or do not want to pay for one, you can use the private bag option at the Post Office. You won’t incur any costs using this method. You will use the official P.O.Box number of the main Post office located near Central Bank at Kampala road, P.O.Box 7106 to receive your AdSense PIN in Uganda.

So, as you fill in your AdSense account address details, ensure that you place P.O. Box 7106 as your P.O. Box address. 

To fill in your Ugandan Address details in AdSense correctly, Open your AdSense account > Payments info > Manage Settings > Under payments profile Edit name and address and input the details such as your Name,

In the image below, is how I filled in my address details to receive my PIN via the Post Office with ease. Under Address line 1, fill in the Post office address (P.O.Box 7106), under Address line 2(optional) you can add your personal address where you live.

Address line 2 is not so crucial as you can still receive your PIN with only filling in details in Address line 1.

Note: Unlike a situation where you have your private P.O. Box, you won’t be notified that your PIN has reached the Post Office because Google does not offer a tracking number which acts as a reference number to follow-up packages when you go to the Post Office.

What you have to do after requesting a PIN is to check via the Post Office personally to find out whether your package has been sent. I recommend waiting for around 3 weeks before checking with the Post Office. 

Since we are using the private bag option, when you reach the counter, inform the attendant that you are there to check for an AdSense PIN package that was sent through a private bag, and they will help you. 

You will be given a couple of other AdSense Pin verification envelopes to search for yours since they are grouped. 

Once you successfully find your PIN, provide the necessary identification to prove it belongs to you, and that’s it! The only charge you will incur is the 3,000 UGX payment charged as a tariff on packages.

4. When you receive your PIN mailer, it will contain a unique PIN that you’ll need to enter into your AdSense account to verify your address. 

5. In your Adsense account, head to Verification Check, select Address Verification and input the PIN.

6. Once you’ve entered your PIN, your address will be verified, and you’ll be able to continue showing ads on your website and earn money.

Be patient if you do not find your AdSense PIN on the first try. My first PIN was sent in October 2022; after 2 extra attempts, I got the PIN in December 2022.

That’s it! By following these steps, you can receive your AdSense PIN in Uganda and use the AdSense program to monetize your website. Good luck!

After sending you a PIN, Google offers up to 4 months until you place the sent PIN for verification. After 4 months, Google will stop showing ads on your website or YouTube channel.

Note: You can only request a new PIN resend up to 4 times. After asking for a PIN a maximum of 4 times, the option will no longer be available. But do not worry because it is the same PIN that they send in all the tries that you request for the PIN. 

Suppose you fail to receive the PIN for all the times you requested. In that case, you must resort to verifying using other means, such as with a National ID, Driving permit, Passport, and other documentation.

In conclusion, getting your AdSense PIN in Uganda is a simple process that can be completed in a few easy steps with or without a personal mailing P.O. Box. 

First, you must sign up for an AdSense account and provide all the required information. Once your account has been approved, you can access your AdSense PIN by going to the “Payments” section of your AdSense account. After entering your PIN, you will be able to receive payments from Google through your AdSense account. 

It is vital to keep your PIN safe and secure, as it is used to verify your identity and ensure the integrity of your account. Following the steps above, you can easily obtain your AdSense PIN in Uganda and earn money through your website or YouTube channel.
