2. Sign Out Everywhere
Being signed in on multiple devices at the same time confuses Spotify. This will cause Spotify to keep pausing randomly thus disrupting your streaming experience. For some, the app just randomly logs them out.
To fix this, Log out of all devices at once by clicking Sign Out Everywhere on your PC.
To log out of all devices at once;
- Head to your Account page by clicking the profile icon in the top right corner of the screen
- Scroll down and click Sign out everywhere

3. Turn off Spotify Data Saver Mode
Data saver mode regulates your audio streaming quality when connected to cellular networks.
By default, Data Saver mode on Spotify is set to Automatic.
Issues can arise when this feature fails to adjust to a lower streaming quality with low network bandwidth resulting in random Spotify pauses.
To turn off Spotify Data Saver
- Tap the Gear icon in the top right corner
- Toggle off the Audio Quality button
4. Check Your Internet/Wi-Fi connection
Is your network connection stable? Having a poor internet connection can cause buffering as you stream, making Spotify pause randomly.
If you are on mobile data, switch to Wi-Fi or vice versa.
Restart your internet connection. Turn on and off Airplane/Flight Mode to refresh your network.
By default, the streaming quality is set to Automatic. Leaving your streaming Quality in high mode will make it hard for Spotify to fetch streams without breaking since it is running on poor network signals.
If you are in an area with a poor network, change your streaming quality to Low or Normal in order to keep up with the fairly weak signals.
